If you are a photographer and are needing a family to make you look good, call these guys. I love the way they interact. Especially in front of a camera! We had a blast!

I had this little guy perched precariously on the rail when he reached down to pick up a rock and *SLIP!*

By now you have probably noticed my fetish for railroad tracks. To me they are symbolic of what photography is. This picture embodies it perfectly. Life is speeding past like a locomotive and pictures are really the only way we have to stop it in it's tracks (I crack me up) and freeze a little bit of that journey. So we see a little girl turn and pause for just a moment before she skips off to high school and boys and prom and graduation and college and a wedding and babies...

And how beautiful is she?

Trials and tribulations of being The Oldest...

I'm the oldest. So is Emily. We got along really well.

She was an immense help from start to finish. I was assistant-less that day. And she was worth 10 assistants! She kept coming up with great pose ideas and locations.

Aren't her little sisters adorable!

See what I mean? She came up with this!

I love this shot because this is exactly how this little one was all day! Ready to go!

You wouldn't know it, but just minutes before this photo was taken, Emily was literally attacked by dozens of horrible fire ants to which she is allergic.

Sigh... What a trooper.

Every photographer dreams of this child...

His smile won't quit. His boyish blonde curls sparkle in the sunlight. His mom has style and class and dresses him like this:

These are his parents. They look innocent enough...

But don't be fooled...

We actually found these tires sitting like this. Oh mercy... How could I ever work in a studio!

I couldn't do this...

Think you could recreate this fence in a studio?

I don't remember matching my lipstick to my clothes when I was 17...

Come to think of it, did I even own lipstick? This girl is sooo awesome. She truly has impecable taste and a classic style that is to die for! I was seriously drooling over her closet...

I dreamed up this shot the moment I found out she played violin. And she had the perfect outfit for it.
